I love birthday cake flavored everything. Whenever I go out for ice cream or frozen yogurt I always get birthday cake flavor with sprinkles. Since I don’t have the tools or patience to make ice cream at home myself I made a birthday cake milkshake instead. It’s beyond delicious and so simple.
When I make a milkshakes I usually blend them in canning jars. It sounds crazy but it allows me to make them as individual servings. That way I can make a smaller treat for myself and a more indulgent one for my boys. To blend your drink in a jar just twist the blade off of your blender and attach it to the canning jar once you’ve put the ingredients in (I use Ball canning jars purchased at my local Target).
The amounts below are for one milkshake to fill an 8 oz jar. If you are using the pint jars just double the recipe.
1 cup of vanilla icecream
1/2 cup of milk
2 tbsp of confetti cake mix
Blend everything except the sprinkles. Once the milkshake reaches your desired thickness top with sprinkles. Enjoy!
