I really love celebrating birthdays. I have 7 siblings so growing up there was never a shortage of cake and ice cream in my house. My brother Chris recently turned 25 and I put together a little Booze- Day gift for him. It included several mini bottles of liquor, a personalized shot glass and a matching mini card. It was a quick and easy DIY. More thoughtful and personal than just handing him a gift card. He really liked it. So I’m sharing a variation of the idea that you can create in about 10 mins.
Booze- Day card template, small canvas bags, acrylic paint, flat craft sticks and mini liquor bottles
Start out by downloading the Booze- Day card. The card is printed on both the inside and outside. You need to understand how your printer feeds paper to get it to print right. What I did was print the front of my card normally, then I flipped it around and ran it through the printer again. Cut out the card and envelope. Fold the card in half and the envelope on the dotted lines. Secure the envelope flaps with a small piece of double stick tape.
For the canvas bag:
Take the tops off of your paint bottles and dip the end of the craft stick lightly into the paint. You don’t have to submerge it. Just get the tip covered in paint. Stamp the canvas bag with your paint covered stick. It’ll create a sprinkle pattern to match your card. Make sure you alternate the color and placement of your “sprinkles”.
Once the paint dries stuff a mini bottle of liquor into the bag and attach your card. Go wish your friend a Happy Booze- Day and hand them their first shot!
